100 Day Gardening Challenge


I have decided to do some gardening every day for min 15 mins up to 1 hour a day.

If it is very rainy, I will skip the day but apart from that, I will try to stick to my challenge. Gardening includes weeding, mowing grass, etc.

My garden is a bit of state at the moment, and I will keep a record of my progress.


Below is the state of my garden right now. Full of moss, grass is grown a bit, a lot of weeds in the lawn.

Hopefully, at the end of 30 days, there will be some improvements.

Thanks to the rains and sun shines, the garden is doing well apart from the lawn, need some weeding to do.

I haven't got any new plants to plant in the garden... So, I took some cuttings from lavender, and planted them in a pot.

I will see what happens. Hopefully they will grow.

Not much change to the garden yet... Grass is growing a bit but need to leave it for now as new grass needs to come out.

I found these couple of nearly dead plants in pots by the side of my garden. I plant them as I cannot go buy new plants in a garden centre due to the Coronavirus lockdown.


This one must be a rose. It may survive, hopefully....


I don't know what the plant is below... It looks dead, but I planted it anyway to see if it comes back to life.



I also found this growing in the garden. I think this is a weed but my wife thinks it is a plant. I really wanted to pull it out. I will leave it for now. We will find out in a few weeks time.

Day 1

I did around 1 hour of gardening with my wife.

Grass is not in a good state.

A lot of clovers and moss in the lawn


I need to do a lot of raking.


We collected some fallen leaves and dead branches.


Today basically I just did some weeding and collected some dead leaves.

Below is the result. Not much change but it is a start.
